A milestone for Mabel AI and a step towards health equality
We are proud to announce our partnership with Tolkförmedling Väst, the largest public interpretation agency in Sweden, to offer AI-based interpretation in West Sweden.
Communication is the cornerstone of good, inclusive healthcare, and language barriers can stand in its way. Skilled interpreters remain the gold standard for overcoming them, but they are not always available. Mabel AI provides instant, private AI-based interpretation that makes simple, unplanned communication possible and improves the quality and experience of care.
A complement to interpreters
Together with Tolkförmedling Väst, we conducted a pilot study in healthcare and municipal units in West Sweden. Our interpretation app was consistently rated extremely user-friendly. Most importantly, the healthcare units used it around the clock, which suggests that our solution fills an important function as a complement to interpreters.
The successful pilot means that Tolkförmedling Väst will soon be able to offer the app to its customers. Their expertise, and their visionary yet pragmatic view of what AI-based interpretation can do, have been instrumental to this outcome.
